About

Special lecture and fulldome show on the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics

What if we could explore the Universe using particles that pass straight through the Earth almost undetected? Join us at the Wits Digital Dome for a talk by Prof Andrew Chen from Wits Centre for Astrophysics about neutrinos, the ghost particles of the Universe, and the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics. The talk will be followed by a fulldome show exploring the extraordinary science of high-energy neutrinos from cosmic sources, and the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, buried deep beneath the Antarctic ice and investigating mysterious events like exploding stars and black holes.
