The Music Imbizo 2026 takes place in Durban, South Africa, from Wednesday 26 August to Saturday 29 August 2026.
The event includes a music business conference, official showcase programme, film festival, and related networking and cultural activities.
The 2026 edition is built around the theme “Toward a Sacred Economy of Sound – Building the Systems for a Conscious Music Industry.” The conference will be hosted at UNISA Durban Campus, 60 KE Masinga Rd, while the film festival will also take place at UNISA Durban.
The official showcases run from Wednesday 26 August to Friday 28 August 2026 across Hue Café and The Chairman, featuring 24 selected acts drawn from over 900 submissions
