In Memoriam: Martin Watt

Amici de Lumine presents a tribute concert in honour of Dr Martin Watt, celebrating his contribution to South African choral and compositional life. Founded in 2010 by Michaelangelo Cloete, the choir has become known for its luminous, ethereal sound and its commitment to sacred music and the works of emerging composers. The programme features Watt's five-movement Te Deum for unaccompanied mixed choir, alongside Hendrik Hofmeyr's moving Pie Jesu and Charl Keet's soaring If Wings Were Mine, celebrating the richness and vitality of contemporary South African choral composition.

The first 100 UCT students receive free entry (early bird), after which UCT student tickets will cost R50.
