One of Iceland's most internationally acclaimed rock exports, KALEO, is set to make their highly anticipated South African debut - presented by BreakOut Events in association with Jacaranda FM - bringing their celebrated Way Down We Go Tour to audiences in Cape Town and Johannesburg in February 2027.
The Grammy-nominated band, will perform at Marks Park in Johannesburg on Saturday, 6 February 2027.
Since forming back in 2012, vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson and guitarist Rubin Pollock have built a catalogue that sits comfortably between blues-rock muscle, folk introspection and arena-sized hooks. What began as a local Icelandic phenomenon became a worldwide one with the release of 2016’s A/B, the breakthrough album that delivered enduring singles including ‘Way Down We Go’, ‘All The Pretty Girls’ and ‘No Good’.
The numbers tell part of the story. KALEO have since amassed more than six billion global streams and over 70 international Gold, Platinum and Diamond certifications. No strangers to the world’s biggest stages, their live résumé includes appearances at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, along with sold-out headline tours across North America, Europe and beyond.
