BUSIFIED: Busi Mhlongo according to jazz

Busi Mhlongo According to Jazz is a musical reimagining of the legendary artist’s repertoire through the creative vision of Dr Xolisa Dlamini

Rooted in Busi’s rich African musical heritage, the project explores her music through jazz, blending fresh arrangements, improvisation and contemporary expression while honouring her distinctive sound.

Rather than simply recreating her music, the project invites audiences to experience it anew through the freedom, spontaneity and creative possibilities of jazz.

It celebrates her enduring legacy while offering a fresh and exciting musical perspective on her extraordinary artistry.
